Education & Prevention

As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health.  We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”.  That’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your child's teeth and gums and taking x-rays when necessary.  We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease.  Not only are we focused on the beauty of your child's smile, we’re also concerned about their overall health.  A review of medical history can help us stay informed of your child's general health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact their dental health. We also have the experience and mechanisms in place to collaborate with their physicians on issues of mutual concern.

Uncompromising Safety

Infection control in our office is also very important to us.  To protect our patients, their parents and ourselves we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the WA State version of that (WISHA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Dr. Larson and his experienced staff carefully consider each new technology for its long term patient benefit prior to adapting it for use on your, or our, children.  We have seen to many promises not actualized by manufacturers over the years and intend to insulate your family from such industry shortcomings.
